Running costs and re sale value.

A 2.0ltr petrol and a turbo diesel will perform well for those seeking the lowest running costs, though the 3.0ltr. V6 prototype can apparently obtain 40 mpg on a run and 30mpg around town. Much better than 15 -20 mpg for a traditional V8 Cobra replica, if you are lucky!

One of the major costs of driving today's performance cars is insurance.

Kit cars are regarded as a 'good' risk by insurance companies. A Supersnake will be very reasonable to insure. The specialist brokers who advertise in the kit car magazines and the internet are good sources.

Another major advantage of kit cars is their relative lack of depreciation, condition and build quality are the major factors in resale value, not age.The Supersnake G.R.P.body of course will not rust and with a properly protected chassis should last for many years to come.
